Arizona has a long history of women leaders and history makers, but many of their stories aren't as well known as they should be. Over the past few years, we've introduced you to Arizona women who made their mark on the state.

And this year for Women's History Month, The Show introducing you to five more Women of the West — Arizona women who helped shape their communities and the state's history.

We start with Nancy Maytag Love, who was instrumental in getting the Phoenix Zoo up and running. In fact, without her it might not even be here.

The Show spoke with Jean Bingham, a trustee on the board of the Phoenix Zoo, for more about her.
