How $9.5 Million From The State Budget Could Benefit Charter Schools' Transportation

Gov. Doug Ducey unveiled his state budget plan last month, and it’s a $12.6 billion spending plan. So you’d be forgiven if you didn’t notice the estimated $9.5 million for a grant program that would be devoted to improving school transportation.

Some are seeing it having more of a focus on charter schools, which traditionally face more of a challenge in getting students to campuses.

Michele Kaye is the charter school administrator on the State Board of Education, and The Show spoke with her for more about the proposed grant.
