As of Monday teachers, school staff, law enforcement and those 75 and older became eligible for the coronavirus vaccine in Arizona. However, demand seems to have overwhelmed Maricopa County Public Health.

As the next phase of eligible Arizona residents tried to book a vaccine appointment, some were met with glitches, delays and for some, no appointments at all.

Despite a server capacity increase last week, the demand overwhelmed the website, officials tweeted Monday morning

Also, aside from website issues, appointments themselves may be hard to come by. All of its sites are currently fully booked, county officials said.

The pharmacies listed for those 75 and older seem to have no open appointments either. The new 24/7 State Farm Stadium in Glendale is only taking vaccine registration from law enforcement Monday and will then prioritize the rest Tuesday.
