Glendale Voters Appear To Reject Bond Projects

Published: Wednesday, November 4, 2020 - 1:20am

Despite an aggressive marketing campaign by the city, Glendale voters appear to have rejected four bond questions that would have approved nearly $188 million in spending.

That means additional money for park improvements, landfill expansion, street construction and storm drain improvements are on hold.

In October, city budget and finance director, Lisette Camacho said the total cost for all four projects would represent an increase of about $172 for residential property owners with homes valued at $250,000, assuming a 5% interest rate on all bonds.
