How To Enjoy The Outdoors During A Pandemic
Phoenix residents and Arizonans across most of the state will finally be able to get outside a little as temperatures cool down.
A lot of folks see it as a chance for all of us who have felt cooped up and isolated over the summer — not just because of the heat, but also because of the pandemic — to loosen up a little. Maybe we can finally see some friends or family we haven’t seen in months at a park or in the backyard. Maybe we can go out to a restaurant and sit on the patio.
But what’s really safe outside as flu season approaches, and experts fear another spike in COVID-19 cases may be inevitable?
To answer some of our most burning questions about how to enjoy the weather safely, The Show spoke with Saskia Popescu, an epidemiologist for the University of Arizona and George Mason University.
