Why An ASU Economist Is Optimistic About Arizona's Recovery

It is unknown just how significant COVID-19’s impact has been — or will be — on our economy.

Gov. Doug Ducey has made moves toward restarting Arizona’s businesses and has made it clear he’s eager to do more when the time is right. But the numbers speak to the dismal state of things today — and the difficult road ahead before we fully recover.

On May 5, Arizona State University and the Economic Club of Phoenix held the Annual Economic Outlook. One of the presenters was Dennis Hoffman, economist and director of the Seidman Research Institute at the W. P. Carey School of Business at ASU.

The Show spoke with Hoffman to get a better grasp on the future economic outlook as restrictions lift.
