How Coronavirus Expanded Our At-Home Streaming Options

Restrictions that have led most of us to spend a lot more time at home have caused our entertainment and worship options to grow as the providers try to stay connected with us via technology.

Classes, religious services and an increased number of meetings are accessible from home. With movie theaters temporarily closed, some studios are offering online streaming of brand new films. That’s in addition to the options we already had thanks to things like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon — among others.

So how will we adjust? Alexander Halavais is an associate professor of critical data studies at ASU. He joined The Show to talk about the transition from in-person to live streaming from home.
