Invasive Buffelgrass Threatens Arizona's Saguaros

Buffelgrass is an invasive species to the desert native to Africa and southern Asia. G

A group of researchers is taking a new approach in the fight against buffelgrass.

The invasive species can cause havoc on ecosystems, and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum said its spread rivals water scarcity and climate change as the region’s “most pressing environmental issue.”

To talk about this project, The Show reached out to Elizabeth Baldwin, an assistant professor of environmental policy in the School of Government and Public Policy at the University of Arizona.
