The City of Phoenix is preparing to sell the Sheraton hotel in downtown Phoenix. The hotel has lost $38 million since 2008 and they city is now refinancing that debt.

The Arizona Republic reports that the city may invest the money from the sale of the hotel into a new arena for the Phoenix Suns.

We talked about the origins of the hotel and its possible future with Phoenix Deputy City Manager Paul Blue.
