It’s been about a year since the latest Ebola outbreak started in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In that time, the World Health Organization said there have been more than 2,600 cases of the disease, and more than 1,700 deaths attributed to it.
Dr. Gary Kobinger, who has visited the country, is the director of the Infectious Disease Research Center at Laval University in Quebec and helped create the Ebola vaccine. He’s also been working on a vaccine for Zika virus.
He was in the Phoenix metro area recently for a conference on vaccines, and The Show had the chance to sit down with him.
