Arizona’s minimum wage is 80 cents higher than the wage required by the federal government, but some say it’s not enough. If voters approve Proposition 206, the state’s minimum wage would gradually increase to $12 dollars an hour ($9 an hour for tipped workers) by 2020.

More than 670,000 early ballots have been mailed in to the Maricopa County Recorder’s office since early voting began. After the county’s tabulation machines passed a state mandated accuracy test Friday, officials are now counting those votes. That test is one of a string of security measures the county goes through to ensure that each vote cast will be accurately counted.
