Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton has announced he’s running for Congress, which means he’ll have to resign his position at some point before the end of his term.

Two candidates — so far — have announced they’ll run to succeed him: Phoenix City Councilmembers Daniel Valenzuela and Kate Gallego.
