How Are Developers Trying To Resuscitate Fiesta Mall?

Business Insider has written that American malls are dying a “slow, ugly death,” with 15 percent of them projected to close in the next decade.

There’s evidence of that stat right here in the Valley with one look at Mesa’s Fiesta Mall, which had its heydays in the 1990s.

These days, Phoenix Business Journal reporter Steven Totten refers to Fiesta as a “zombie mall.” He’s been reporting on ways developers are trying to resuscitate it, including a new plan called “The Campus,” that has plans to appeal to, of all demographics, Millennials.
