Debate about charter schools versus public schools continues in our state, but what does the data actually show about how successful these schools are?

The Arizona Department of Education recently released the four-year graduation data from 2015.

I sat down with Dan Hunting to find out more about this. He’s a senior policy analyst who looks at education data for the Morrison Institute of Public Policy at ASU.

The first thing to realize here is that, even though Arizona is one of the pioneers in school choice in the nation, most students here still go to district schools where a very high percentage of students graduate.
