How does Arizona stack up against other states in terms of having laws against human trafficking? Polaris, a national anti-human trafficking group says it’s getting better, but still has some work to do.

The organization released its state ratings this week, which track the presence or absence of 12 different kinds of anti-trafficking laws in states, including victim assistance, asset forfeiture and training for law enforcement. Britanny Vanderhoof, Polaris’ Policy Counsel, said laws may not always stop trafficking, but they can help victims.
