Report: Arizona Has A Problem Keeping Teachers — And It's Not Getting Better

It’s no secret that Arizona has a problem with teachers. With years of stagnant pay, cuts to education and large class sizes, teacher retention and pay are at crisis levels in our state.

Now, initial findings from a new study from the Morrison Institute for Public Policy at Arizona State University shows the problem is not getting better.

There are more teachers leaving the profession each year than there are new teachers graduating from Arizona's three universities, the report finds.

We talked to Dan Hunting, the principal researcher on the report.
