More than 400 people have signed a letter urging state lawmakers to defeat a bill that would eliminate a handful of state boards and commissions. But one in particular has critics of HB 2369 concerned: the Arizona State Parks Board.
Beth Woodin is a former Arizona Game and Fish Commissioner and currently serves as board president of the Arizona Heritage Alliance. The nonprofit works to protect and promote the Arizona Heritage Fund. Woodin signed on to the letter opposing the bill.
HB 2369 has been approved by the state House and is now in the Senate.
State Rep. T.J. Shope of Coolidge is the main sponsor.
