Former Intel CEO Barrett: Arizona education system has a lot of room for improvement

September 29, 2012

Intel’s former CEO, Craig Barrett, is not shy about speaking up about education reform, and the role of education and job creation in Arizona.Barrett told state leaders last spring that Arizona’s education system would have prevented his company from locating here, if it  were starting fresh. Then, late last year, Governor Jan Brewer appointed Barrett to head up the Arizona Ready Education Council, which is in charge of implementing the state’s education reform plan. Barrett spoke with KJZZ's Mark Brodie, and says he’s still not sure he’d bring Intel to Arizona now.
