Master Redevelopment Plan For Hance Park Revealed

Does it sound possible that Phoenix will be the home of a place that could compare to New York’s Central Park or Chicago’s Millennium Park? With Thursday night’s official unveiling of the new master plan for Hance Park downtown, the initial steps are being taken.

The nearly $120 million proposal includes a performance facility, water features, exercise paths and a restaurant, among other things. I visited Hance Park to talk with Tim Sprague, president of Hance Park Conservancy.
