The word “sprawl” is not typically used in a positive way — especially around the Valley, where it’s used to describe uncontrolled development into the desert.

Daniel Mills, a recent ASU grad, is attempting to flip that definition on its head with the new online magazine Sprawlr.

He and other writers want to help change the perception of Arizona as an intolerant and controversial place.
