The United States has about 5 percent of the world’s population, but we also have nearly 25 percent of everyone incarcerated around the world. The total number of inmates is more than 2 million.
It’s an issue that’s bringing progressives and conservatives together as the ACLU and the Koch Brothers, among others, are pushing for criminal justice and sentencing reform.
Arizona Republic editorial director Phil Boas joined The Show for his weekly appearance to talk about it.
