The Trump administration is proposing changes to what’s called the “public charge rule,” which affects legal immigrants to the United States who are using public benefits.

A group of organizations known as the Basic Needs Coalition is trying to rally opposition to the change, and the administration is accepting public comment through Dec. 10.

To talk about this, The Show spoke with Angie Rodgers, president and CEO of the Association of Arizona Food Banks, which is part of the coalition.

The Show also reached out to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for a comment about the proposed rule change. They sent The Show a list of frequently asked questions.
