Votes are still being counted in Arizona and other states, but one takeaway from this year’s midterm elections so far is the number of younger voters who cast ballots.

According to the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at Tufts University in Boston, about 31 percent of eligible 18-29 year olds voted, which, as far as our guest can tell, is pretty much a record.

Kei Kawashima Ginsberg directs the center, and she joined The Show to talk about why she thinks this happened.
