Gov. Doug Ducey suspended Arizona Parks Director Sue Black on Thursday. That decision came at a major boiling point for the department.

Arizona State Parks and Trails is alleged to have destroyed native sites and artifacts while developing land in violation of the state Antiquities Act. Black was also accused of being disrespectful toward staff.

And now, the latest controversy to surface is an internal memo obtained by the Phoenix New Times that reveals the parks department considered a gift of land from a mining company, a move that would pose serious conflict-of-interest issues for the department that is charged with managing and conserving public lands.

Steven Hsieh with Phoenix New Times has been reporting on this, and he joined The Show to talk about it.
