While we’re waiting for autonomous vehicles to emerge from their testing and become regular fixtures on the roads, there are other transportation options around the Phoenix area.

There’s light rail as well as bus service, which has longer hours and more opportunities to get around town. But the way this city has been built and designed — with a wide sprawl and plenty of parking spots — the automobile dominates how we move from Point A to Point B.
