Former Sheriff Joe Arpaio Is Suing The New York Times For Libel

Former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio made headlines again Wednesday — months after he came in third in the Republican primary in the U.S. Senate race in August.

This time, it’s because he has filed a libel lawsuit against The New York Times and one of its columnists, Michelle Cottle, who wrote a column about him the day after he lost that race.

Jude Joffe-Block, an independent journalist in Phoenix — who is in the midst of co-authoring a book about the man formerly known as “America’s toughest sheriff” — joined The Show to tell us more about this and the political announcement he's embedded in it.
