Could The Cure To Alzheimer's Disease Be Near?
The number of people projected to have Alzheimer’s disease or dementia in the United States is expected to double by 2060. The disease has claimed the life of singer Glen Campbell, former President Ronald Reagan and countless others.
A new survey released by Banner Alzheimer’s Institute found that a majority of adults worry they’ll develop the disease. But, at the same time, most of the people surveyed also believe a cure for the disease will be developed in their lifetime.
Susan Catalono, the chief science officer for Cognition Therapeutics — a pharmaceutical company that’s discovered a medicine that they think can stop Alzheimer's disease — also agreed with the people surveyed who are optimistic about the disease.
