The director of programming for the University of Arizona’s UA Presents recently resigned and is prepared to file a federal lawsuit against the university.

Candace Feldman started in the position in February 2016 and, according to a letter sent to UA President Robert Robbins, she was subjected to “egregious discriminatory actions.”

Feldman joined The Show to talk about her experience and to share the specifics of what led her to the legal action.

The Show reached out to the University of Arizona and received the following statement:

"The university is aware of Candace Feldman’s complaints. We take these allegations very seriously and the University has a number of trained staff, reporting venues and pathways for resolving concerns employees have about their employment. That includes keeping those processes confidential, which is in the best interest of the people affected.

The university is currently reviewing the allegations Ms. Feldman included in the letter she distributed after her resignation. We are confident in our process and procedures for addressing those concerns."
