Google apparently knows where you are, even if you thought you’d told it to leave you alone.

An investigation by the Associated Press found several Google services on smartphones store location data even when users have turned their “location history” settings off.

Ryan Nakashima is a technology writer for the AP, and joined The Show to talk about the investigation.

For another perspective, The Show also talked to David Choffnes. He’s an assistant professor in Northeastern University’s College of Computer and Information Science and a member of the Cybersecurity and Privacy Institute there.
