A recent ruling by the Arizona Court of Appeals affects a very specific aspect of medical marijuana law.

The decision determined that the resin of the cannabis plant isn’t the same legally as the plant itself. So even if someone is permitted to use medical marijuana, use of the resin —or hashish — is against the law.
