Are Arizona Teacher Raises Being Implemented?

It’s been almost a month since teachers marched on the Arizona Capitol lawn and crowded the state building through the early hours of the morning as lawmakers approved a more than $300 million package, kicking off Gov. Doug Ducey’s plan for a 20 percent pay raise by 2020.

As school districts shape their budgets for the coming school year, where is that money going? Under the governor’s plan, teachers across the board are supposed to get a 10 percent raise next year.

Arizona Republic education reporter Ricardo Cano surveyed Arizona's districts to find out if those promises are being met and came on The Show to talk about what's happening.
