Trump Administration Changes Course On Organic Labeling Rules

Early last year, the Obama Administration put forward something called the Organic Livestock and Poultry Practices rule. It specified the kinds of practices organic egg and meat producers would have to follow to be considered organic.

The Trump Administration recently withdrew that rule, saying it exceeds the U.S. Agriculture Department’s statutory authority.

Diana Winters, the assistant director of Academic Scholarship at the Resnick Program for Food Law and Policy at UCLA Law, joined The Show to talk about what that means.
