Arizona teachers are rallying outside of the state Capitol every week  demanding higher pay and more funding for public education in our state.

There is an ongoing teacher shortage here, and teachers say there's not much motivation to stay in the field.

But, one Phoenix high school has had to hire six new teachers recently to meet the demand of its robust art program.

I went out to Maryvale High School in west Phoenix recently to meet some of the students who are enrolled. Freshmen Jacob Borquez and Anjolette Vasquez showed me some of the projects they’re working on now. Their teacher is Megan Vanbuskirk.
