More On U.S. Supreme Court Ruling In Excessive Force Case
On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of an Arizona police officer in a case that could have far-reaching effects for those seeking to prosecute officers for use of excessive force.
The case was brought by a Tucson woman who survived a police shooting in her front yard and tried to sue the officer who shot her. But, the court’s ruling says the officer is immune from her lawsuit.
It’s just the latest in a string of similar decisions that shield officers from lawsuits like this.
