Mountaineer Hilaree O’Neill Recounts Harrowing Climb In Myanmar
A lot of us who live in Arizona like to hike. Sometimes they’re casual and other times they’re a lot more challenging.
But I’d venture to guess you probably haven’t spent two months in Myanmar on a climb to determine southeast Asia’s highest point. The climb would be challenging enough — but the human dynamics of working with a team had their own complications.
Mountaineer Hilaree O’Neill had that very specific experience, and she’ll be talking about Wednesday night in her presentation "Point of No Return" at the Mesa Arts Center as part of the National Geographic Live series.
