On Wednesday at 10 a.m., high school students across the country staged walkouts to mourn the 17 shooting deaths at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida and protest lawmaker inaction at gun-reform attempts.

Also Wednesday on The Show, KJZZ’s Casey Kuhn was on the scene in Glendale at Mountain Ridge High when senior Jacob Sumner walked with hundreds of his classmates to the football field where they held a moment of silence for each of the victims of America’s ninth-deadliest mass shooting in modern history.

And The Show’s Lauren Gilger caught up with Sumner earlier this morning to talk more about his experience.
