Navigating North And South Korea During The 2018 Winter Olympics

The 2018 Winter Olympics South Korea begin this week, and tensions are easing somewhat between that country and its neighbor, North Korea. Delegations from the two countries have met, and they’re even forming the first ever North and South Korean hockey team.

But, at the same time, President Trump just highlighted North Korea’s brutality in his State of the Union speech.

And Vice President Mike Pence is heading to Pyeongchang to attend the Olympics, along with the father of Otto Warmbier, the American student who died last year after being jailed in North Korea.

So, where does all of this leave us heading into the Olympic games? For more on that, I’m joined by Michael Fuchs, senior fellow with the Center for American Progress.
