Arizona Bill Would Offer Free SAT, ACT Tests Instead Of AzMERIT For High School Juniors

Arizona public school students will be taking the AzMERIT exam in a few months — that’s the statewide assessment test.

But, lawmakers at the state capitol this year will consider a proposal to free high school juniors from the requirement to take the test, and instead offer them free SAT or ACT tests.

Rep. Heather Carter is the sponsor of House Bill 2037.
