Sprint, T-Mobile Decide Not To Move Ahead With Possible Merger
For years, cellphone carriers Sprint and T-Mobile talked about a possible merger. Over the weekend, they officially called it off, for the foreseeable future, anyway.
In a statement, president and CEO of T-Mobile U.S. John Legere said, while combining with Sprint is compelling “we have been clear all along that a deal with anyone will have to result in superior long-term value for T-Mobile’s shareholders compared to our outstanding stand-alone performance and track record.”
