Law enforcement officials in Las Vegas report finding 23 firearms in Stephen Paddock’s Mandalay Bay hotel room and 19 at his home in Mesquite, Nevada. But his motive for the mass shooting at a Sunday night concert remains unknown.

Officials said investigators are still working to verify Paddock’s whereabouts before this weekend’s shooting and won’t comment on that chain of events before it’s confirmed.

Todd Fasulo is the Clark County Assistant Sheriff. He addressed reporters at a press conference Monday night.

"It will be some time before we are able to give you that in a chronological order and with a amount of confidence that it’s accurate," Fasulo said.

Fasulo said he believes investigators have uncovered all of the weapons involved in the event and are now focusing on how Paddock managed to get so many firearms inside the hotel.
