The West Wing even broached the topic years ago. Are we any closer to getting rid of the penny?
Well, Sen. John McCain recently introduced legislation this year to eliminate minting of pennies. But, our next guest thinks that, even though the penny may be worthless, we should keep it anyway.
Jay Zagorsky is an economist at the Ohio State University, and I spoke with him more about this debate and why he thinks we shouldn’t get rid of Lincolns.
