The Congressional Progressive Caucus, co-chaired by Arizona Congressman Raul Grijalva, released a new budget for the 2018 fiscal year called "The People’s Budget — A Roadmap for the Resistance."

The caucus says this budget “provides a practical, progressive vision for our country by investing in 21st century infrastructure and jobs, tackling inequality, making corporations pay their fair share, and strengthening essential public programs.”

It allows $2 trillion for things like overhauling fossil fuel energy, making transportation better and improving infrastructure. It also contains sections of the budget based on overarching principles — like protecting the environment and providing pathways out of poverty.

Joining us now to talk about this ambitious budget and what it means is Congressman Grijalva.
