Is ESPN's Audience Concerned About Its Political Leanings?
ESPN has been the dominant sports network for decades and, even with increasing competition, that hasn’t changed.
Its ratings are still strong and many of its programs are still highly regarded.
But the cord cutters who don’t help pay for cable packages have hurt ESPN’s bottom line, leading to layoffs and worries about the network’s future. And some critics are even saying ESPN is too politically correct and leans to the left.
The network just released research results on whether its audience is concerned about political leanings. And with me to talk about that is John Ourand, media reporter for the Sports Business Journal.
