Researchers Look At Twitter To Measure Entrepreneurial Activity
There are a number of ways to measure entrepreneurial activity, but what about social media — and specifically Twitter?
Researchers from ASU and Michigan State did just that: looking at tweets from people identifying themselves as entrepreneurs, and the connections between them.
The research also included following a few hashtags, like #smallbiz and #entrepreneur.
Elizabeth Mack is an economic geographer at Michigan State and one of the authors on a paper about this.
