Reporters Weigh In On Phoenix Action To Clarify Term 'Lobbying'

The city of Phoenix does a lot of business with private companies — from vending machines to police and fire gear, the contracts add up. And so do the lobbyists.

In January, The Arizona Republic reported the city could not enforce its own lobbying regulations. And today, council members could take action. They are scheduled to clarify the term "lobbying" to make sure there are sanctions in the law for those who fail to follow the rules.
