The Trump administration has run into more legal obstacles on one of its immigration-related orders.

In a ruling issued Tuesday, U.S. District Judge William Orrick blocked the president’s effort to withhold money from so-called sanctuary cities that don’t cooperate with federal immigration officials.

Not surprisingly, President Trump didn’t agree with the decision — tweeting earlier today: “See you in the Supreme Court.”

To explain the significance of the ruling, we’re joined for a few minutes by Scott Decker, foundation professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State University.

And he is co-author of the book “Policing Immigrants: Local Law Enforcement on the Front Lines.”
