HB 2382 — aka the Free Speech in Medicine Act — was signed into law by Gov. Doug Ducey last month.

It’s intended to give drug companies the freedom to tell physicians and other medical professionals about so-called off-label uses for approved pharmaceuticals.

To learn more, we spoke with Christina Sandefur of the Goldwater Institute, which helped craft the legislation.

We also talked with Dr. Jeffrey Singer, a Valley surgeon about how the legislation could impact doctors and patients.
