Uber's Autonomous Cars Back In California; What Does It Mean For Arizona?
Back in December, Uber packed up its autonomous cars from California and moved them to Arizona, over a dispute with state regulators there. Gov. Doug Ducey was on hand to welcome them here.
"I mean, this is technology that’s changing right before our eyes. The message today is Arizona’s open for business. We’re welcoming this technology, we’re not pushing it out of our state," Ducey said.
But now Uber and California have resolved their differences, and the startup says it plans to resume testing there.
To get a sense of what that means for Arizona, I’m joined by Andrew Hawkins, a transportation reporter for TheVerge.com.
