Three of Arizona’s congressional districts rank in the top 50 nationally for the potential of younger voters to significantly influence the outcomes.

The list comes from the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement, also known as CIRCLE, at Tufts University in Boston. It includes Arizona’s 1st District in northern and eastern Arizona, the 2nd District in southern Arizona, and the 9th District in Phoenix, Tempe and other parts of the East Valley. Each includes one of the state’s public universities.

Kei Kawashima-Ginsberg, director of CIRCLE, explains the rankings and what kind of things they were looking for in these particular districts.
