Arizona is trying to achieve a 60 percent level of residents with a college degree or certificate by 2030.

A potentially audacious goal when the current figure is only 42 percent.

The ultimate goal of Achieve 60 AZ will need collaboration between business and education leaders.

KJZZ's The Show spoke with Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Todd Sanders.

"There's no doubt that we are going to need to do more in terms of funding  for the K-12 system and the community college system along with the university system" Sanders said.
